I was born and grew up in the St. Louis area. In the South St. Louis County community of Concord Village. I graduated Lindbergh High School.

While serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1967 to 1971 I became interested in Broadcasting. I took a 2 year correspondence course with Columbia School of Broadcasting in San Francisco, finishing in 1971.

It was after honorable discharge from the Air Force, I landed my first radio job in Sullivan, Missouri. It was pretty primitive radio, but it was a GREAT place to learn the business. I did sales, copywriting, commercial production, commercial voice overs, newscasts every half hour, and an on air shift every morning from 6 to 9 a.m.

From Sullivan I went to Montgomery City, Washington, Union and finally landed a job at KFRU here in Columbia in 1986. I was Program Director and Operations Manager at KFRU in addition to hosting my own talk show every afternoon. I have worked all across the radio dial in Columbia. KTGR,KCMQ, and KPLA.

I came to KOMU-TV8 in late 1989. I did most of the stations voice work and was given a chance to become a weathercaster in late 1990.

I have a son, Scott and a daughter, Karla, who has given me a granddaughter, Summer.

I love good music, good times, good food and Corvettes.
