ASHLAND - Fire gutted a home on Eastside Drive in Ashland on Wednesday night. Three nearby buildings were damaged.

Firefighters said they responded at around 7:45 p.m. and saw flames pouring out of the home. Two hours later crews were putting out the last hot spots.

The fire department received multiple calls from neighbors and people driving on Hwy. 63 who were concerned about the billowing smoke.

A firefighter said, at one point, flames were coming out of every window on all sides of the building. One neighbor said the flames began creeping over to her house.

"As far as we know, no injuries and no firefighters were hurt," Roger Jaeger from Southern Boone Fire Protection said.
