Camdenton Man Drowns at the Lake of the Ozarks
LAKE OF THE OZARKS - A man drown Wednesday afternoon while working on a dock at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Timothy M. Walker, 33, was working on a dock in Rocky Mount at the Atlantis Island Condominiums when he jumped into the water to tie a rope on the corner of the dock.
State Trooper Darrin Hasleg said a co-worker watched Walker go under the water. Then, Hasleg said, the co-worker tried to pull the rope in, but Walker was no longer on the other end. The co-worker then jumped in the water to try to save Walker, but the co-worker could not find the Walker.
Walker went under water around 11:40 Wednesday morning, and the Lake of the Ozarks Fire Protection dive team pulled Walker out of the water. The team pronounced Walker dead at 1:30 p.m.
