Chase Receives 13-Year Sentence for Mosely Murder
JEFFERSON CITY - A judge sentenced Brandon Chase to 13 years in prison Wednesday morning for the murder of Keith Mosely.
Chase received 10 years for second-degree murder and 10 years for first-degree robbery to be served concurrently. Jude Daniel Green also sentenced Chase to three years for armed criminal action to be served after the 10 years.
Ten years is the minimum sentence for both second-degree murder and first-degree robbery.
Mosely died from a gunshot wound to the chest in April 2012. Police said the incident began as a robbery, but escalated. Tracy Session, who fired the shot that killed Mosely, pleaded guilty in November 2012 to second-degree murder and other charges and received a 20-year sentence.
On July 9, a jury found Khiry Summers guilty of second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action, also in connection with the case. Summers is awaiting his sentencing hearing.
