COLUMBIA - A crimestoppers report from July 28 eventually led to the arrest. According to a news release sent out Friday by the Columbia Police Department, the report implicated Drake Stockton-Kenney in recent armed robberies. Stockton-Kenney was in the area of the Check N' Go 35 minutes before the alarm was recieved. He was taken into custody Thursday night. Police recovered a handgun and an amount of money consistent with the amount reported stolen from the Check N' Go.

The Columbia Police Department is investigating Stockton-Kenney's involvement in several other summer robberies. Columbia Police suspect he could be responsible for an attempted robbery at Taco Bell on Smiley Lane, a robbery at Jimmy John's and Break Time, and the previous robbery at the same Check 'N Go location on August 1st.

Stockton-Kenney faces charges of Armed Criminal Action and Robbery in the first degree.
