JEFFERSON CITY - In the ever busy hustle and bustle of life, a handmade card can make such a difference. One Jefferson City woman, Martie Shea started "From Our Hearts" when her son who was serving in Iraq asked for a homemade card. She sent a couple, and he kept asking for more.
She then started sending blank cards over by the box, and started a blog so others could join her. The response she has had has been drastic.
She gets cards from all other the country, including Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada.
Shea is a "Stampin' Up Demonstrator" and has had the support of many other demonstrators, and the Stampin' Up Organization. She received the National Heart of Stampin' Heart Award.
The organization has been so successful, it had to be moved out of Shea's house and into a donated office. There, they can store cards to send out whenever they need.
