JEFFERSON CITY - Candidates planning to file for local and state public offices can do so beginning Tuesday morning.
Candidates must bring an affidavit of past tax payments, a written declaration of candidacy, and a $50 filing fee paid to their political party's committee. Once they file, candidates will be asked to full out a financial disclosure notice.
Representatives from the Missouri Ethics Committee will be on hand Tuesday to answer questions.
A Cole County Circuit Judge denied a request Monday to push filing day for Senate seats back due to an ongoing debate about Senate districts in the legislature.
Candidates have until March 27 to file.
Candidates can file at the MO SOS office on 600 W. Main in Jefferson City.
