Fire Destroys Boone County Building
BOONE COUNTY - Boone County firefighters responded to a structure fire on the 2000 block of Bluebird Lane Wednesday night in central Boone County.
When firefighters arrived, the residential non-dwelling structure was fully engulfed in flames. A non-dwelling structure is a building where nobody lives. No injuries were reported on the scene and no one was inside the building when it caught fire.
Crews took control of the flames within 30 minutes of arriving on the scene. KOMU 8 News talked to the owner of the structure. He said it was built in 2007 as a recreational building for his family. Boone County Fire Captain Chris Swisher said building is a complete loss.
A damage estimate is not available yet, but the fire investigator arrived on the scene to survey the damage Wednesday night.
