Firefighters put out Columbia trailer park fire
COLUMBIA - Firefighters put out a mobile trailer park home fire early Thursday.
The fire broke out off Lenoir Street at the vacated Sunset Mobile Home Park.
Firefighters said they found out about the fire from callers driving on Highway 63.
Officials said they aren't exactly sure of the cause of the fire but were able to contain the damage despite windy conditions.
"We did have a large concern for the other trailers in the park," Columbia Fire Captain Lisa Todd said." Our second unit on the scene immediately started protecting the exposure so the other units did not become involved. So only one unit was involved, but it has burned fully."
