Fulton police chief: FBI investigating Carl DeBrodie's death
FULTON - Fulton Police Chief Steve Myers said on Tuesday afternoon the FBI, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Missouri attorney general's office are investigating the death of Carl DeBrodie.
DeBrodie was reported missing April 17, the same day a new owner took over care of people in what was known as Second Chance Homes.
Myers said investigators are looking into federal charges. He said no one was in custody but there are "quite a few" persons of interest.
Autopsy results confirmed the body found in a large container filled with concrete on April 24 was DeBrodie. Myers said investigators have not determined the cause of DeBrodie's death and they are waiting for toxicology results.
FBI spokesperson Bridget Patton said the bureau is providing assistance to the Fulton Police Department. She said the FBI is limited in providing additional details because it is an ongoing investigation.
