I-70 back open after fatality

COLUMBIA - Traffic reopened Thursday morning around 6:45 a.m. on Interstate 70 Eastbound near the Rangeline exit. Police closed the road earlier in the morning to investigate a death. 

Police have identified the female victim as Kaycee A. Blackburn, 24, of Columbia. Police found Blackburn's belongings near the overpass on Providence Road.

Her death is still under investigation.

During the time I-70 was closed, police rerouted traffic off the eastbound Rangeline exit and then back on I-70. According to Boone County Joint Communications, the interstate was shut down for a few hours causing minor delays.
