Middle schoolers make pillowcases for mid-MIssouri cancer patients
COLUMBIA - Seventeen Kansas City middle school students loaded boxes of neatly folded, handmade pillowcases into vans outside of the Appletree Quilting Center in Columbia Friday.
The group of Oak Grove students have been making pillowcases all year long.
They have managed to make and design 1,135 pillowcases that they will be donating to individuals with cancer. The goal, they said is to help brighten the days of people with the illness.
The students deliver pillowcases to patients all across Missouri.
