COLUMBIA - The Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation offered free glaucoma testing Monday at the Columbia Health Department.

These screenings were intended for Hispanic families, who are the most susceptible to the disease.

After recieving a grant in January, the foundation began offering the tests throughout the state. The screenings are set up outside of events intended for members of the Hispanic community.

In the last fiscal year, the foundation estimates it screened more than 40,000 individuals.
