Missouri Volleyball Season Ends With a Loss to Florida

CEDAR FALLS, IA - The Missouri volleyball team lost their first match 3-1 against 17th ranked Florida in the NCAA Tournament Friday evening.

Missouri won the 1st set 25-23, but lost the next three 16-25, 20-25, and 16-25.

Missouri's Lisa Henning led the team with 16 kills, her season total coming to 523, bringing her to first place, surpassing Na Yang who had 522 in 2007. Brittney Brimmage had 8 kills in the match. Freshman Whitney Little had five blocks, finishing the season with 138, bringing her up to par with former Tiger All-American Christi Myers. Priscilla Armendariz had 13 digs, Sarah Meister matched her carreer best with 14 digs, and Jade Hayes had 9 digs.

The Tigers finished the season 21-13.
