Planing and Zoning Commission Approves Apartment Plan
COLUMBIA - The Columbia Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a plan revision for a luxury student apartment complex at Cross Creek Villas Thursday night.
Asset Plus, a Houston-based developer, proposed the 228-unit complex to be built on a lot previously proposed as a car dealership.
According to the attorney working with Asset Plus, this new development will have less rigid surfaces, less storm water runoff and more green space than the dealership.
Some neighborhood residents had concerns about traffic and employees from Asset Plus said it would be open to creating a bus system for the complex.
Asset Plus and their development team's next step is to get approval from Columbia City Council.
