Planned Parenthood Suspends Services
COLUMBIA - Planned Parenthood announced it will be temporarily suspending its abortion services due to a lack of physicians Tuesday.
In the past 10 months, Planned Parenthood has had to suspend their services three times.
In September 2011, the clinic suspended abortion services because its doctor was on military deployment. Services resumed last February but stopped again for two weeks in March. At this time, there are no more details about the loss of its latest physician.
According to a press release, Planned Parenthood said it would resume its services "as soon as possible."
Abortion services stop July 1, and during that time Planned Parenthood will refer patients to other health clinics.
