Powerful Wind Knocks Down Power Line

COLUMBIA - Boone Electric's phone lines were flooded with phone calls early Tuesday from worried residents about their power being out. Workers had to close down the road in front of The Links apartments to fix the power line pole that was knocked down by heavy winds.

Crews arrived to fix the problem around 3:00 a.m.  The power went out around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday. Workers were done with pole around 5:00 a.m.
