COLUMBIA - This Friday is the last day to enter your idea for the REDI 5th annual pitch competition. 

REDI will then select a dozen finalists and three high school finalists (individuals or teams) to compete at the 2015 Ignition Pitch Competition, formerly known as #BOOM. The final competition will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Columbia College Southwell Complex. 

The partcipants will be judged  over multiple topics of their presentation, including the business model, marketing strategy, competetive analysis and financial plan. 

Jim Gann, who has helped plan the competition, said, "the planning, practice, feedback, and networking gained through a pitch competition are extremely beneficial."

Prizes awarded to the winners will be $6,000 for first place: $4,000 for second place; and $2,000 for third place. High school participants will be awarded $500 for first place, $250 for second place, and $100 for third place.

Prize money is sponsored by Missouri CORE (Connecting Our Regional Economy).

Attendance to view the pitches is free and open to the public.
