RUSSELLVILLE - A house in southern Cole County caught fire Thursday afternoon, with the house becoming a total loss.
The fire started around 3 p.m. None of the three people who live in the house were home when the fire started. A neighbor spotted the fire and contacted the Russellville-Lohman Fire Protection District.
Nobody was in the house at the time of the fire, thus no injuries occurred.
The family who lives at the house was staying with family is Russellville until deciding their next step. The Red Cross helped the family, providing food and water.
No cause of the fire could be determined due to the destruction of the house.
