Teen Sent to Hospital with Gun Shot Wound
COLUMBIA - A 17-year-old male went to University Hospital Monday night with a gun shot wound. Columbia police said he was shot across the street from Douglass Park at Trinity Place and Switzer Street.

As of 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Columbia Police Department said it had a team of investigators searching for a suspect or vehicle description.
Police said the teen's wound was located somewhere on his upper body, but still had no updates on his condition.
The shooting occured less than an hour after a large fight broke out at Douglass Park. Police said they think the brawl began with two feuding families. Two people were arrested for not cooperating with the police. Police said they were unsure of whether or not the two incidents were related.
