COLUMBIA - A three-car crash happened off Highway 63 before the Grindstone exit Tuesday evening. Traffic was at a standstill on the highway for a little less than an hour.

Police said two of the three drivers were transported to the hospital in fair condition. Firefighters assessed the third driver for a panic attack.

One car was able to be driven from the scene, one car was towed away and one car was in a ditch just before the Grindstone exit.

Police said traffic was stopped when the accident occurred, so officers are unsure whether construction played a role in the crash.
