Three Overnight Robberies in Columbia

COLUMBIA- Columbia Police responded to three separate robberies early Saturday morning.

At 2:00 a.m., CPD dispatched officers to the intersection of Anthony and William Streets. A female victim was walking alone when she was approached from behind. A male suspect grabbed at the woman's purse, knocking her to the ground before taking off with it.

At 2:17 a.m., officers responded to an armed robbery near the intersection of Florence and Donnelly Avenues. Two men were walking along Donnelly when another man approached them with a handgun and demanded they hand over their money and property. Both victims escaped on foot.

Just before 4:00 a.m., two men robbed the I-70 Eagle Stop at 1704 North Providence Road. The clerk reported one man implied he had a gun and demanded money while the other stood at the door as a lookout. Both suspects fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
