True/False Box Office Set to Open

COLUMBIA - The True/False Film Festival box office at the corner of Hitt and Broadway in downtown Columbia opens Wednesday evening for passholder pickup.

At noon Thursday, 10,000 tickets for individual screenings will go on sale. Organizers will hand out line numbers to people waiting for those tickets starting at 9 a.m., and they advise getting there early.

That's because organizers expect 33,000 people will attend the ninth annual festival. The number is up 3,000 from last year.

This year, every festival venue is within walking distance of the downtown office. Two new theaters, Jesse Hall and Missouri United Methodist Church, have been added to handle the additional crowds.

Eastside Tavern will host a kickoff show Wednesday night, and the four-day film festival officially gets underway on Thursday.

True/False passes provide extra perks like access parties, receptions, and the chance to reserve tickets early. If you have a pass, you still need a ticket for each individual screening.
