Temps have remain very warm overnight and will be in the mid-60s with sunny, breezy conditions for the out-the-door morning forecast.
It will be a quick warm-up today as a south breeze at 10-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph, will usher in another warm and humid air mass conducive for thunderstorms. Temps will be in the middle 70s this afternoon.
While the morning will be mostly sunny, skies will become partly to mostly cloudy by early afternoon with thunderstorms expected to develop over western Missouri as early as 1pm this afternoon. These storms are expected to overspread central Missouri throughout the afternoon and a few could be strong. Main severe weather threats will be isolated large hail and damaging winds.
These showers and storms will continue into the evening with temps holding in the 60s. Most modes of severe weather should end by 10pm. Overnight lows will fall into the middle 50s with breezy southeastern winds.
Rain showers are likely to continue all day Saturday as an area of low pressure slowly moves through Missouri. Weekend temps will hold in the 60s with rain clearing by early Sunday morning. Another chance for storms arrives by Sunday evening.
