First Alert Forecast
Today will be our main rainmaker for the week. Moderate to heavy showers (and some rumbles of thunder) are expected on through the day, with high temps reaching into the middle 60s in the morning and falling into the 50s and 40s throughout the afternoon as a cold front sweeps through. By tonight, most of mid-Missouri will have 1-2" of rainfall accumulation (this is needed!).
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with some moisture trying to stick around. Any remaining moisture that tries to fall will be met with much colder temperatures, resulting in freezing drizzle. The ground will likely still be warm enough to limit icy roads on Wednesday. Stay tuned as we see how this system develops and how much moisture wants to hold on.
Thursday morning has a another chance for freezing rain, drizzle and sleet. Some slick spots will be possible.
Rain chances are again in the forecast for Friday and Saturday, but look on the lighter side at this point.
