Tolton's Farnan falls in state quarterfinals

Tolton boys tennis's Brady Farnan fell in the quarterfinals of the MSHSAA Class 1 Singles Tournament at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.

Farnan won his sectionals match in straight sets (6-2, 6-0) against Duchesne's Nathan Nickel to advance to the quarterfinals. The junior then faced Whitfield's Danny Radke, who won the Class 1 individual title last season, where he lost in two sets.

Radke defeated St. Pius X's Justin Janasz 2-0 in sectionals before defeating Farnan.

The loss officially ends Tolton's season after the team lost to Duchesne in the team quarterfinals Tuesday.
