Haung conducted a survey to see the overall relationship between student behaviors, the likelihood of suspensions and overall school climate.

NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo- The Callaway County Sheriff's Office arrested a New Bloomfield High School student Thursday for making a terrorist threat.
According to a press release, the sheriff's office received information pertaining to a verbal threat of violence directed toward the New Bloomfield High School. The sheriff's office launched a criminal investigation into the threat.
MSHP finds 300 pounds of marijuana in SUV during traffic stop on I-70

BOONVILLE- 301 pounds of marijuana were found in an SUV during a routine traffic stop by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troop F of the MSHP made the traffic stop Thursday night on eastbound I-70 in Cooper County.

COLUMBIA - The former chief financial officer for Columbia Public Schools was sentenced Thursday to five years probation.
Anna Munson pleaded guilty in October to receiving stolen property back in April of 2015.
15-year-old charged in connection with November Jefferson City shooting

JEFFERSON CITY - A Jefferson City teen has been charged in connection with a November fatal shooting.
Bruce Thomas was charged with second-degree accessory to murder and first-degree burglary, the department announced in a news release Thursday.
Residents frustrated over effects of Vandiver roundabout construction

COLUMBIA - Some people who live near the intersection of Vandiver Drive and Parker Street just north of Interstate 70 are unhappy about construction of a new roundabout.
"They put up signs that say 'No Through Traffic' but it's not really helping," Martin Morales said.

COLUMBIA - Columbia police are investigating multiple reports of bomb threats made via email to businesses in the Columbia area, the department said in a news release Thursday.
Police said there was no information to support the validity of the threats.
MoDOT, Columbia Chamber discuss future of Missouri roads

COLUMBIA - Missouri Department of Transportation director Patrick McKenna met with the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Thursday to discuss the future plans for roads across Mid-Missouri and the state.
This comes after Proposition D, a proposed tax that would have given money to fix Missouri roads and bridges, failed to pass on the November ballot.

WASHINGTON D.C. - Democrat Claire McCaskill had stern words for her soon-to-be former colleagues in the Senate in a farewell speech on Thursday, saying that polarization and fear of political consequences have rendered the body ineffective and unwilling to take on difficult issues.
The two-term senator lost to Republican Attorney General Josh Hawley in her re-election bid in November. In an emotional speech from the Senate floor, McCaskill said she was proud of her 34-year public service career that included stints as Jackson County prosecutor, state representative, state auditor and senator.
