COLUMBIA — An inmate died after becoming unresponsive in a booking cell of the Pettis County Jail Saturday morning.
Modina M. Bradshaw, 44, of Sedalia, had been in the jail since Nov. 6. She became unresponsive just before 9:30 a.m.
Pettis County Sheriff's deputies and Pettis County Ambulance District personnel performed CPR on Bradshaw, but their resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.
An autopsy to determine her cause of death is scheduled for next week.
