Man dies after drowning in lake near BransonPosted on 23 May 2020 at 3:55pm
ROCKAWAY BEACH - Deputies confirmed a man is dead after a drowning incident on Friday night, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol drowning report.
The report said this is MSHP Troop D's first non-boat related drowning for 2020, just at the start of Memorial Day weekend.
The report said the man, 50-year-old Frankie Mills, fell from a boat dock into Lake Taneycomo at 200 W. Beach Boulevard.
Deputies said Mills was pronounced dead at 11:15 p.m. at the scene of the drowning by deputy coroner Bryan Koppitz.
Rockaway Beach is about 10 miles northeast of Branson.
