2:00 p.m.: 385 new confirmed cases in Missouri

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services confirmed an additional 385 new cases of COVID-19 in the state on Saturday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 23,215.

In a tweet Saturday afternoon, the department also reported one additional death, which brings the total to 1,027.

10:30 a.m.: DHSS encourages social distancing for holiday weekend

In a tweet from Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Saturday morning, the department encouraged people to celebrate the Fourth of July safely.

The reminders extend to safety in food handling as well as the continued encouragement to wear a face mask when around others.
