Asymptomatic nursing home employee tests positive for COVID-19Posted on 10 July 2020 at 10:40pm
MARSHALL - An employee of The Living Center at Fitzgibbon Hospital tested positive for COVID-19 after showing no signs of the virus.
The Living Center staff and residents were tested for the virus on Monday night and all results came back negative. All residents are quarantined and outside visitation is put on hold until further testing is taken.
Staff is utilizing personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves, as well as hand washing procedures and social distancing when possible.
Resident temperatures and respiration patterns are monitored each shift when vital signs are taken.
