COLUMBIA - University of Missouri police are crediting the public for helping them find the suspect in a sex offense case.
MUPD arrested Alton Conner at 10:30 p.m. He faces one count of second-degree sexual abuse.
Police said a female subject told them Conner rubbed her in a sexual manner while she was with friends at an MU concert Friday night.
MUPD released a photo shortly after the student filed her report. It was widely circulated.
"The public’s cooperation played a key role in Conner’s arrest," a press release said Monday.
Conner was released after posting a $500 bond.
