1 injured in shooting at Washington University in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Police at Washington University in St. Louis are urging students, faculty and staff to go to a safe place after a shooting that injured at least one person on the school's Danforth campus.
The shooting happened Wednesday afternoon. University spokeswoman Sue Killenberg McGinn says one person was injured in a shooting near the university's Mallinckrodt Center. Details about what led to the shooting, and the severity of the injury, were not immediately available.
The university sent an alert to students, faculty and staff urging them to "shelter in place." It wasn't immediately clear if an arrest has been made.
