19-year-old found dead in Lake Ozark motel room

LAKE OZARK - A 19-year-old male was pronounced dead after he was found unresponsive in a motel unit at Lake Ozark Sunday morning.

According to a press release from the Camden County Sheriff's Office, the victim was identified as Kamil Jackowski, a freshman student at the University of Iowa. Deputies, fire department and ambulance personnel responded to Jackowski's Camden on the Lake motel unit around 7 a.m. He was found unresponsive, and CPR procedures were unsuccessful.

He was then transported to Lake Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is scheduled to take place in Springfield Monday.
