3-year-old boy hospitalized after shooting in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS - A 3-year-old St. Louis boy is in stable condition after being shot - the third shooting involving a child in the region since last week.
The child's name has not been released. No arrests have been made.
Police say the father put his son in the back seat of a vehicle Thursday morning. Three armed men approached and tried to force the father back inside his home, leading to a shootout between people inside the house and the suspects.
After the suspects ran, relatives found that the boy had been struck in the buttocks and drove him to a hospital.
On Tuesday, 21-month-old Carter Epps died after finding a gun and shooting himself in Hanley Hills. Last week, 9-year-old Jamyla Bolden died when shots were fired into a Ferguson home.
