4 charged, fifth sought in southwest Missouri homicide
HALLTOWN (AP) — Authorities have arrested four people and are searching for a fifth in a drug-related southwest Missouri homicide.
Eighteen-year-old Nathaniel Lee, of Seymour, 19-year-old Brooke Beckley, of Nixa, 19-year-old Anthony Donovan, of Springfield and 17-year-old Josh Applegate, of Fordland, were charged Tuesday with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Oscar Martinez. No attorneys are listed for them in online court records.
Webster County Sheriff Roye Cole said the three men were arrested in Christian County soon after Monday's shooting at a home near Fordland. Cole says Beckley and an unidentified fifth suspect fled from deputies before ditching their vehicle on Interstate 44 in Lawrence County. Officers arrested Beckley at the scene, and dozens of officers have been searching for the man.
Cole says he's believed to be "armed and dangerous."
