40 Days for Life Campaign To Begin
COLUMBIA - Columbia's Planned Parenthood could see even more protestors than usual beginning Tuesday as the 40 Days for Life, anti-abortion campaign begins with a kick-off rally.
Participants will begin at the First Assembly of God Church in north Columbia at 6 p.m. to hear speakers talk about their experiences trying to talk to people going into Planned Parenthood.
Following the first part of the rally, the group will hold a candlelight vigil in front of the Planned Parenthood at 7:30 p.m.
Kathy Forck, one of the organizers, said in past years, the group has seen upwards of 100 participants at the kick-off event.
This is the sixth time the group has held the campaign in Columbia, and the third year. It will run through April 1.\
"We're here every day to help the women who may not know all the options. And there are a lot of options," Forck said.
