6 workers hurt in St. Louis propane explosion
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Missouri firefighters say six people have been injured in a propane explosion at a trucking company.
It happened Thursday night at the SAIA Motor Freight Line near downtown St. Louis. One man was taken to an area hospital with critical burns and three were admitted with serious burns. Two workers suffered minor injuries and refused treatment.
City fire Cpt. Garon Mosby says workers were trying to switch out a propane tank on a forklift. He says a leak from the tank caught fire and caused a flash explosion. The tank didn't explode and nothing caught fire.
It's unclear what caused the leak. Authorities haven't released the victims' names.
