63-year-old Pacific man charged in double murder
PACIFIC (AP) - A 63-year-old Franklin County man is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of two people found Sunday in a Pacific apartment.
Dennis Wayne Brooks of Pacific faces two felony murder charges as well as two charges of armed criminal action and one first-degree burglary count. He's accused of killing 42-year-old Melinda Rash and a man whose name has not yet been released pending notification of his family.
Court records indicate that Brooks first argued with the victims early Sunday before the shooting. Authorities say he had been in a previous relationship with Rash.
Brooks remained in the Franklin County Jail Monday on a $1 million, cash-only bond. Online court records don't list an attorney on his behalf.
