9/11 Anniversay Gives Special Air To Festival
ASHLAND - The city of Ashland gave special recognition to soldiers to mark the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, adding a unique flavor to this year's 22nd Annual Fall Festival.
The festival honored people in the Ashland comunity and raised money for local charities.
People came out to Ashland City Park to enjoy food, activities, and competitioons.
Festival chairman Wade Middaugh says this year's event had a deeper meaning.
"We've had a lot of participation from people, I noticed just in things I noticed just in things they're wearing and the donations they're making to things like the Honor Flight. I think people still remember and people want to do what they can for people still, especially for people men and women of our armed forces," Middaugh says.
The festival had live music and a talent competition.
