Accused Murderer Denied Public Defender a Second Time
FULTON - Accused murderer Joshua Maylee was in court via video Friday requesting a public defender. Judge Carol England denied Maylee's request and continued the case until December 23. This is the second time Judge England has denied Maylee's request for a public defender.
Prosecutors have charged Maylee with three counts of first degree murder. On October 27th, police said Maylee went on a shooting spree killing Jeffrey Werdehausen and Eugene and Jackie Pinet of Holts Summit. Police said Maylee also shot Werdehausen's wife Gina, but she survived the shooting. Maylee is currently being held at the Boone County Jail.
