ACLU Cameras Monitor St. Louis Police
The American Civil Liberties Union says it will provide video cameras to people in St. Louis's north side. The local ACLU chapter says that will allow residents to record their dealings with the police, and the group says police often mistreat blacks. Police Chief Joe Mokwa says the cameras are legal, and he says police are accustomed to criticism. The head of the St. Louis Police Officers Association says officers should assume that they may be videotaped any time they're in public.
