KINGDOM CITY - The North Callaway School District's Board of Education scheduled a special meeting Tuesday night to discuss the May 2012 arrest of the district superintendent.

According to court records, The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested North Callaway superintendent Bryan Thomsen in Linn County on May 26, 2012 for driving while intoxicated. Thomsen pleaded guilty to the charges in Linn County's circuit court June 20 and was ordered to serve two years of unsupervised probation.

The board did not open Tuesday's meeting to the media or to the public. According to the agenda, the board planned to go into special executive session to discuss the "hiring, terminating, disciplining or promoting of an employee."

KOMU 8 News will continue to follow this story and will release details when the board issues a formal statement regarding Thomsen's employment status.
