(AP) -- A June 2006 trial date is set for Kenneth Baumruk, who's accused of killing his wife inside the St. Louis County courthouse in 1992. The retrial was moved to St. Charles County, where a judge denied a defense request yesterday to choose a jury from another county. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Thirty-year-old Antonio Whitley of Kansas City is sentenced to four years in prison for torturing and killing a neighbor's Golden Retriever puppy. Whitley had pleaded guilty to charges in the September First incident, and the judge handed him the maximum sentence. CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) -- Authorities in St. Louis County say a 17-year-old suspect in the weekend weekend beating death of a teenaged girl is cooperating in their investigation. The body of 16-year-old Erin Mace was found Friday night in a burned-out S-U-V south of St. Louis County. The suspect is jailed without bond. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Arena football is coming to Kansas City after all. The Arena Football League has granted Kansas City an expansion franchise starting with the 2006 season. Fifteen players will come from the New Orleans franchise, which will not operate next season because of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. A proposed deal to bring an arena team to Kansas City fell through earlier this year. (Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) AP-NY-10-04-05 0941EDT
