Arkansas man arrested for DWI after serious Camden County crash
CAMDEN COUNTY - An Arkansas man was arrested on suspicion of DWI Thursday evening after allegedly causing a crash in Camden County.
A MSHP crash report says Shane Russell, 52 of Rogers, AR, crossed the center line and struck another vehicle while driving southbound on MO 5 at about 9:20 p.m. Thursday.
Both Russell and the driver of the second vehicle, Kiri Gibson, 26 of Sand Springs, OK, sustained serious injuries and were transported to Lake Regional Hospital.
Troopers arrested Russell for careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, causing a serious physical injury while under the influence of alcohol, and driving without a seat belt.
Russell is also awaiting a case review for an animal cruelty charge in Sunrise Beach Municipal Court.
