COLUMBIA - Officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at Subway on 2101 W. Broadway in the Crossroads Shopping Center on Saturday. The investigation revealed a white male entered the store, ordered a sandwich, displayed a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.

There were customers inside the restaurant but they were unaware a robbery had taken place until they were advised by employees. The suspect fled the restaurant on foot heading northbound from the scene. There were no injuries during the robbery. No arrests were made and the investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'04" and 150 pounds. Witnesses claim he has scruffy facial hair and brown eyes. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and armed with a handgun.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery is advised to contact Public Information Officer Latisha Stroer of the Columbia Police Department at (573) 874-7448 or lmstroer@gocolumbiamo.com.
