Army Identifies Three Soldiers Who Died in Afghanistan
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The Army has released the names of four soldiers killed by a road side bomb Monday in Afghanistan. The Defense Department identified them as 29-year-old Spc. Bradley Louis Melton, 21-year-old Pvt. Cheizray Pressley, 26-year-old Pvt. Lamarol Jerome Tucker and 29-year-old Staff Sgt. David D. Self.. All but Self were assigned to the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Self was from the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany. Melton was from Rolla, Mo., and joined the Army in October 2000. Pressley was from North Charleston, S.C. He joined the Army in September 2010. Tucker was from Gainesville, Fla. He entered the Army in January 2009. Self was from Pearl, Miss. The attack took place in the city of Spin Ghbarga, in Zabul Province.
