Arraignment Hearing for Juvenille Harvey Takes Place This Morning
MEXICO - Judge Kelly Broniec of the Audrain County Circuit Court permitted county prosecutors to try jordan clay harvey as an adult in the McNeely murder case. 15-year old Jordan Clay Harvey of Laddonia will be tried along with his family members in the murder of a 20-year-old Ohio man. The arraignment hearing will take place this morning.
The teenager is currently in the Audrain County Jail with bond set at 500 thousand dollars. Clay is the son of two of other suspects, Chester and Angela Harvey.
The Audrain County prosecuting attorney charged the youngest Harvey with Murder in the Second Degree, Kidnapping and Felonious Restraint.
His parents, brother Chad, another 17-year-old brother whose name authorities have not yet released and three others are blamed for the death of James McNeely back in December. Chester, Angela and Chad pleaded not guilty back in June.
Deputies found McNeely's beaten, tied up and strangled body in the refrigerated compartment of a tractor trailer in Vandalia. The tractor trailer also belonged to Chester Harvey.
The certification hearing for the unnamed teen will be held October 1st.
