KIRKWOOD - Senate President Pro-tem Michael Gibbons launched his campaign for Attorney General this weekend from the front porch of his home in Kirkwood. Gibbons is the only Republican in the 2008 race to succeed Democratic Attorney General Jay Nixon. Nixon is making a bid for the Democratic nomination to challange Gov. Matt Blunt. State Sen. Chris Koster, and Democratic state represenatives Jeff Harris and Margaret Donnelly are running on the Democratic ticket.
