Aubuchon, Andrews Tabbed for First Team All-AMC Squad
ST. LOUIS -- Sharron Andrews and Megan Aubuchon were named first team All-American Midwest Conference selections for the 2011-12 season, it was announced Monday by the conference office. It marks the second time Andrews has been selected to the squad and the first selection for Aubuchon.
Andrews currently leads the Owls offensively, with 12.9 pts/gm and is the second-leading rebounder on the squad with 6.2 per game. She has recorded six double-doubles on the season, highlighted by a 20 point, 10 rebound outing against Columbia College in the AMC Tournament championship. Additionally, she is currently ranked 31st in the country in steals with 77 on the year and 32nd in steals per game with a pace of 2.406.
Aubuchon is the leading rebounder for the Owls, with 7.1 boards per game to go along with a scoring pace of 9.8 pts/gm. She has notched four double-doubles on the year and came up just shy of the first triple-double in WWU history in WWU's quarterfinal win over Missouri Baptist with eight points, eight rebounds and eight blocks in limited action. Her eight blocks marked a new career high and finished one shy of a single-game school record that has stood for 23 years.
